The same RF connector usually carries two or three names: the original UG designation, the M39012 slash-sheet number it was qualified under, and the manufacturer’s own catalog number (Amphenol RF 031-xxx or 082-xxx, Delta Electronics 10-digit numbers). Buyers search for all three. This table maps the names for every RF connector Newcastle Industries has on the shelf in Los Angeles, with live quantities, so you can confirm you are ordering the right part whichever number your drawing uses.
Every equivalence below is taken from the manufacturer’s own catalog. Where we could not confirm a match we list the part on its own rather than guess. Total RF stock: about 46,000 pieces, factory new, with a certificate of conformance on every shipment.
Need a quote on any of these? Send the part number and quantity and we answer within one business day, usually the same afternoon. Will-call in Los Angeles, same-day UPS or FedEx, worldwide shipping, C of C with every order.

How to read the three numbering systems
- UG-xxxx/U (for example UG-1094/U): the Joint Army-Navy “Universal Government” designation. Written with or without the hyphen; UG1094/U, UG-1094/U and UG 1094/U are the same part.
- M39012/xx-xxxx (for example M39012/21-0001): MIL-PRF-39012 slash sheet and dash number. The slash sheet fixes the interface and style (21 = BNC bulkhead jack), the dash number fixes the cable group and finish. Parts sold under this number are on the Qualified Products List.
- Manufacturer numbers: Amphenol RF uses 031- for BNC and 082- for Type N (the leading zero is often dropped, so 031-221 appears as 31-221). Delta Electronics uses a 10-digit number such as 1020000N891-500, where the first digits identify the series and the N or A suffix the plating.

Frequently asked questions
Is UG-1094/U the same as Amphenol 31-221?
Yes. Amphenol RF catalogs the UG-1094/U BNC bulkhead jack as part 031-221 (often written 31-221). The military QPL equivalent is M39012/21-0001. Newcastle Industries stocks both the UG-1094/U and 31-221 lines, 12,500 pieces each, in Los Angeles.
What is the M39012 equivalent of UG-88E/U?
M39012/16-0101, the MIL-PRF-39012 qualified BNC straight clamp plug for RG-58, RG-141 and LMR-195 cable (Amphenol RF 031-3301). We stock UG-88E/U and M39012/16-0101 side by side.
What is the difference between a UG number and an M39012 number?
UG numbers are the original Joint Army-Navy designations from the 1940s and 1950s and are still used as industry names. M39012 slash-sheet numbers come from MIL-PRF-39012 and identify parts qualified to the current military specification. For most common BNC, TNC and Type N connectors there is a one-to-one match; the QPL part carries full military traceability, the UG part is the industrial-grade equivalent of the same design.
Which cross-references are you certain of?
Every equivalence on this page comes from the manufacturer's own catalog (Amphenol RF part pages, Delta Electronics QPL data). Where we are not certain of an equivalent we list only the part number itself. If you have a drawing that calls out a different number, send it and we will confirm the match before quoting.
Do you have quantity for production runs?
Yes. Our RF position is one of the largest in the United States: about 46,000 pieces across UG, M39012, Delta and Amphenol RF numbers, with 12,500 each of UG-1094/U and 31-221. We quote full lots as well as small quantities.
