About MIL-DTL-5015
MIL-DTL-5015 (formerly MIL-C-5015) threaded circular connectors are the workhorse power and signal connector of military ground vehicles, shipboard systems, rail, heavy equipment and industrial automation. The MS3100 series uses solder-cup contacts; Class E, F and R versions add a resilient neoprene insert and wire-sealing grommet for environmental resistance. Service ratings run from 200 V (instrument) to 3,000 V RMS, and size 16 contacts carry 13 A. MS3100-series connectors intermate across every qualified manufacturer, and also with the MS3450 threaded crimp series and MIL-DTL-83723 Series II, so an Amphenol MS3108R28-11S plug mates with any MS3102R28-11P box receptacle from Amphenol, ITT Cannon or another QPL source.
